In my blog I am going to take another look at Hungary, country so steeped in history and culture. If you think you know Hungary, think again! We are going to take a journey in time and space, will explore all kinds of attractions: from UNESCO World Heritage Sites, breathtaking panoramic views, museums, galleries to new hotels, restaurants, bars and of course, SPA resorts.
Budapest is an ancient European capital with a modern twist. Its is gracefully set on the both sides of the Danube river. Every travel guide will include the information about the most famous sights of the city, for example, Heroes square, City Park with Europe's largest thermal SPA (Szechenyi Baths), Andrassi avenue, Opera House, St. Steven's Cathedral, Parliament, Chain Bridge, Castle District, Matthias Church and Fishermen's Bastion.
However, there is much more to see in this city. For those, who want to be acquainted with the highlights of Budapest from the river, there is a great opportunity to admire panoramic views from a Danube cruise with a dinner. Pleasant atmosphere, light music and the beautiful facades of the churches, Parliament and Royal Castle. I enjoyed every minute of this trip last weekend, if I am not mistaken the river cruise is approximately one and a half hours.
